looking for slow flying electric

Watch a guy at the park flying a cessna 152 look alike or so. It was electric. Not an arf, but home built. It was so slow flying and scale. He was an excellent flyer. Are there any good arf's or RTF that fit this description ? Thanks guys.

RE: looking for slow flying electric

On Monday I flew my Thunder Tiger Sparky 400 for the first time. It's a beauty. The kit is an ARF for about $90. It doesn't come with a motor or gearbox. For an extra hundred you can get it with motor, gearbox and three-channel radio. The plane is slow-flying and kind of old timerish. For a Speed 400 sized plane it has a wingspan of 58 inches. It will probably thermal in the right conditions. I had a Great Planes 20AMP ESC in it and flew it on an 8 cell 600MAH NiCad pack. The radio I used was a Hitec Focus 3FM. This is a very relaxing flyer and I needed it as I had destroyed a Global PT-19 that same day. I got about a 6 minute flight. I intend to try a larger capacity pack. Hope this helps.

This plane was 35" or so Max, maybe smaller. Thats the size I want. Can you guys help find a good one that size? I know a little bit about motors. Whats smaller than the speed 400 ? Thats what he said it was, not a spd 400. Thanks for your help.

The I.F.O. Aerobatic R/C Slowflyer - Super cool plane!

As I understand it, this can be flown indoors in a gym, or outside in under 7
MPH winds. With the right flight pack, it can hover on its prop and is almost
indestructable. You could sit on your back porch and fly this around your
kids.

I have read that you can even pack this up in a suitcase and take it with you
on a trip. How cool is that?

Here are some other planes to consider for flying slow flying around your
yard. They are not as acrobatic at the IFO and not as rugged, but they look
more like airplanes.

You might want to look at the Mountain Models electrics, Im not sure if they have ARF's avalible, but im sure that it wouldnt be a big deal to build a kit, because they are so small, and nothing to them. I seen a few of these fly a few weeks a go at a friends field, and they are very slow and somewhat aerobatic.

And there are IFO model files for FMS if anyone wants to try them out.

They have a whole bunch of electrics & slow fliers at [link=http://www.hobby-lobby.com/index.htm]Hobby Lobby[/link] I just started to build the Donald 4 Seaplane they have. They have electrics that look like full scale planes. Very nice people to deal with. Hope this helps!

The mountain models kits are incredible. Laser cut and they fall together in a few evenings of building total. This is the best way to have a light and good flying
aircraft, especially with electrics. Doug at mountain models is an awesome guy... I'm not affiliated in any way with them, just a happy customer!! If you have any questions,
he is more than happy to answer them. Don't overlook his products... he has several that sound like they would fit perfectly.

I found the guy. he designed the Mountain Models Cessna 180. What he was flying was his own one of one Cessna 182. This will work. I like taildraggers too. Go to MountainModels.com What do you think. Feedback guys. Thanks, Keith
