Aero Shark
 

Does anyone have any experience with the Aero Shark 40 ARF? I think it is made by Pacific Aeromodels. My son trained on a sig KADET and would like something a little more aerobatic. I would like something easy to assemble and fly. We know many like the 4 star 40 and The Goldberg Tiger 60 but we would like something a little different. The price of $179 for the Aero Shark and a T/T 46 engine combo is a definite plus . Your input is greatly appreciated.

Very high quality ARF, and it flies great. Leave the cowl off and it's easy to assemble too.

Hi Jim. Thanks for replying to my post. I'm assuming you have (or had) an aeroshark. I'm curious- how do you think this plane flys in comparison to the typical "stick" type planes that many suggest as a second plane? You mentioned that leaving the cowl off makes it easier to assemble. Did you have trouble with the fit or alignment? Just one more question. The advertisment I read says this plane flys really fast. Did you find this to be true? Thanks for your help,

Fast depends on where you set the left stick. The Shark is more efficient than a Stick and so flies faster for a given amount of power.

The cowl requires that you cut clearance holes for the muffler, glow plug, needle valve and idle needle. The Shark's is no more difficult than any other cowl, but it's still a pain.

The Shark tracks better than the typical Stick, and doesn't have their annoying habit of dropping the tail on landing approach.

I liked the one I had for a while, but I had to give it back to the owner. :(
