Just got a Global Avance sport-pattern plane-

any suggestions, tips, warnings or whatever else you want to say about them would
be greatly appreciated

This is one great looking plane--can't wait to get it flying!

Great Flying Plane!!! Unfortunatley I only had one flight with it before the wing self destructed on landing (it was a nice landing too).

I suggest you cut into the wing and reinforce the landing gear. I had tried to reinforce the gear without cutting into the wing. Obviously, this did not work.

I have yet to repair mine, but will since it was a nice flyer.

I was wondering if that might be a problem with this plane, but haven't checked it out yet. Seems you hear or read all the time about weak gear or wing blocks caving in on someone. What exactly is the problem on the Avance? and what is the best way to fix it before flying?

Also-What is the deal with companies who design and produce planes with weak retract setups in the first place? Surely they realize we will have to land on them eventually! And what's the first thing we'll say when we do and they collapse? "whaddabunchacheapcrap!-don't buy this one" to anyone who happens to be within earshot. How does this help their sales or their reputation??
