Sig Rascal 110 Rudder Servo location ?????

I started building my Rascal 110 and noticed that there are two servo cutouts under the tail, one is for the elevator and presumablythe other would be for the rudder, however, the instructions show a pull/pull cable set-up and the guide tubes are installed for the cables.

I will be installing a Saito 150 with Tru Turn spinner and an APC Prop.

Will I need to add tail weight if I use the pull/pull setup????

If so,wouldn't I be better off to just move the rudder to the cutout on the tail? This would add weight to the tail without having to add any additional weight to the plane itself.

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

I would mount the engine and everything before you decide, but my gut tells me it will need to be in the pull-pull location.

I have the rascal with a rcs 1.4 and I have the rudder servo in the cabin on pull pull. That is one long lever when you put weight in the tail - no matter how miniscule the actual weight is.

I believe it is for the elevator servo. Mount it on the side opposite your exhaust from the 150. I mounted my 180 inverted so the elevator servo went on the right side out of the exhaust flow. I went with the pull pull on the rudder. Later Johnny

PS...It is a perfect balance with the 180 (no lead anywhere). The 150 should balance out about the same.

Meesh -

Go with the pull-pull! I believe the original intent was to have the elevator servo in the rear, however, unless you are using a heavy gas burner it will only make your aircraft tail heavy! The pull-pull is much more efficient anyway. I installed an Enya 155 in mine and it balances perfect. Just waiting for the weather to turn better and the holiday season to pass before I start burning fuel! By the way, isn't that one sweet airplane!
