Lazy Tiger
Hi, Finishing my TT Lazy Tiger I ended up nose heavy using a OS40LA and going to a 12 oz tank. Now before I add weight I slid my Rx battery back behind the servos. It was only about half of the weight shift I need. I'm using the standard Futaba Rx battry [4 cell 500 maH nicad]. could or should I double the battery useing a Y cable? Do you have problems connecting 2 Batts? The extra weight would just about do it. I could make a heavier custom pack out of AAA nimh to compensate. Any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch Keester |
RE: Lazy Tiger
Greetings,
Yes, you would have charging problems with a Y cord. At this point I think it would take very little weight on the tail and that would be the easiest way to go. BTW, a 500mah nicad is kind of behind the times as far as batteries go. A modern Nimh of the same size will be about 1600mah..... fly all day without recharging. AAA's are lighter and smaller than AA's. Best of luck! Ernie ([email protected]) |
RE: Lazy Tiger
did you reinforce the tail feathers? Adding the triangle stock and epoxy will add some tail weight, plus serve to strenghten that weak tail.

RE: Lazy Tiger
Hi, I did reinforced the tail feathers on top and bottom, that with moving batt pack back its almost perfect. I will fly it now to determine any final adjustments. Now if the weather would give me a break over this holiday weekend I can fly it for the first time. I ran in the new LA 40 for a couple of tanks and taxied around and it all feels well. Thanks for all your help everyone. This is a great place to turn to for advise and to share some knowlage.
