Easy fueler

Dose the easy fueler have to be in line with the Carberator? Can it sit below? This would mean that the fule would go down to go back up ? Is this ok I am talking about an inch. I just realized i glued the easy mount about an inch below the carb for a less obvious look .

yes .but if you don't like dead stick throw that think as far from a plane as you can. those are some messed up things. i use fuel dot's there easer to use any way.

i mounted mine below tank level ( at least an inch below) and have had not one problem. they would not make them if they were not a good product. Also if it was important to stay at carb height they more than likely would tell you

Thanks Bull frog, i know its not critical I just figured that i would make it as easy as possible for the engine to get fuel . I think these itesm are great , especially in stand off scale . I appreciate the help

I prefer to use fuel dots myself. Others have had good luck using those easy fueler valves. I had one leaking, causing a deadstick and some damage to the plane. My friend had two leaking, causing the engine to surge and lean out in mid air. I now use fuel dots exclusively.

Central Hobbies sells them: [link]http://www.centralhobbies.com/fuel/fuel_fittings/CHFLD.html[/link]

They are also available on eBay.

I like the "twist" style fuel dots since their cap can be removed easily without any pushing or pulling: [link]http://www.qualityrcproducts.com/prod_miraclefueler.html[/link]

Here are those "Miracle Fuelers" on my Spit:

Ditto on those easy fuelers being junk. Tower had a sale on them
like 3 for some special price and I bought them. Not one of the darn
things worked right. They all leaked. I threw them all in the trash can
and switched to fuel dots from Central Hobbies. Haven't had a problem
since. Found out later the guys at the club had a bunch they would have
given me for free just to get rid of them

I have an easy fueler on the exhaust to fuel tank pressure line. The muffler is inside the cowl and line is not accessible. It works just fine here. I had the same problems as others with the easy fueler on the fuel line.

I've used them on over 50 different planes and never had a problem with leaking. Each one has worked flawlessly. I always make sure that they are clean when fueling and de-fueling.

I've had easy fuelers on two planes now with no probs. I've even reused some after crashes. I put them where ever I have room with no probs. I don't think location matters. A guy I know has one on a CAP 232 way on the underside of the plane.:D

Have used them for years with no problems, guess I am lucky. It also might depend on what type you are buying.

I was told at the LHS that if you don't fly the plane for a while you have to keep the o-rings lubricated.

I've had mixed reviews with the easy fuelers. On my F-82...I had a night mare with single engine landings utill I removed the easy fuelers. I bought the ones from Tower Hobbies. There are other makes out there, so we should also name the brand that is giving folks problems. Du-Bro easy fuelers have worked just fine for me...but I am going to try the fuel dots.
Soft landings always,

Easy fuelers are not easy and they don't help fuel get to the engine, throw them away. Adding gadgets with multiple parts to do simple things on a plane will only lead to problems.

RE: Easy fueler

Well...after bragging about easy fuelers (Great Planes) I had one crap out on me yesterday on my 4 star. It wouldn't let the fuel into the tank when I was trying to fill up.[:@] I thought my pump had gone bad. I stopped at LHS on the way home and picked-up a fuel dot kit. It fits in the same hole.
