Does amybody have any experience with the World Models Ultimate bipe in the 30 size?

Yes Ian I have with an os 46 fx on it it builds nice and everything lines up including the wing incedence it fly very fast on the 46 other than that its a good airplane if you need to know something perticular let me know

Hi Ian,

My WM Ultimate 30 has a Magnum .52 fourstroke. Great flyer, looks nice, just a few quirks.

The upper wing attachment needs some reinforcement where the retainer wire goes through. I used 1/8" aluminum tubing, epoxied into the wood. A better option might be to make a new basswood "H" support. Make sure the upper wing has -1/2 to -1 degree incidence. The bottom wing should be at zero.

The landing gear (on mine) was not very resistant to bending. I still have to straighten it out from time to time. I fly off grass, so I eliminated the wheel pants.

The lower wing screw wants to back out. I solved that with a piece of fuel tubing between the wing and the T nut. A plastic screw might solve it.

Go with minimum rates until you get used to it. It will do all the aerobatics, mild or wild. If you want unlimited vertical for some reason, use something bigger than a .52 fourstroke. However, I like mine because the engine fits nicely within the cowl, inverted. Only the muffler sticks out the side.

I'd recommend it.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I would like to know if it has any bad flight characteristics, I intend to use the TT 40 pro not too worried about unlimited vertical. Thanks Ian
