After 165 flights, I can say yes you can.
You will not have unlimited vertical and you need to fly with a APC 20x8 or Menz 20x8 to get good strong vertical. The engine is great on that plane.

The 2.4 will work fine on the DP edge. Overall, it would be a better choice than the GP Wagstaff, It's lighter and better constructed. It also has very large control surfaces for 3D flight if you so inclined.

If the DP is lighter then I would recommend it.
THe PW Extra can fly IMAC Basic and with energy management, it can do the Sportsman class routines. Forget about anything more complicated.
