World Models Extra 300 120 Elevator

Hi,
I always wanted one of these after I tried a Goldberg (can't get them here in the UK anymore!), however, looking at the plan it indicates using 1 wooden dowel with two control rods at the end going to each elevator half. Now, I only ever saw this done once before and that was on a "Homerun" - the effect was dreadful and each elevator half could move independently and twist the control rods that attached to the dowel.
Does everyone use the design as laid out by World Models and find it to work ok or should I go for dual closed-loop once and for all?
Additionally, I have a brand new SC 120FS - think this will be ok for this model? I'm no world class flyer - just want to try out knife edges and perfect my prop-hanging with what everyone says is a fine plane.

Regards,

Dave

I just recently purchased a WM Cap 232 with the Yellow Breitling Scheme, and it very nice, it came with a pull/pull system for the elevator which I didnt like so I modified it with the included accessories to make it a dual elevator setup. With the pull/pull it operated on one servo in the wing saddle area.

Here is a pic of the tail!!

Ah, I see, two servos in the rear fus. Just need to a: Have the room for them and b: Check the balance.
Thanks, I hadn't really thought of that.
