han 9 edge
Like the looks of the Hanger 9 edge 540, i have a super tiger 2500 that spins 18-8 apc at 7200 is that going to be enough motor. Have seen post where people are flying them with o.s.160 it weights less i'm sure than my super t but don't think it will spin same prop. Looking for some help if you know or have seen any fly with super-t 2500 let me know how it did. Thanks Tim

RE: han 9 edge
Your ST engine is more than adequate to power your H9 edge. I have a Lanier edge, and power it w/a ST 2000 (25cc), and it flies it great. The planes are similar in size and wt. Be careful flying your H9 edge in "slow flight", I have seen 3 of them tip stall when the pilots tried to land them too slow. I peronaly think the wing Sq. ft. is too small for the plane, but they seem to fly OK as long as you keep the speed up. In any case good luck, and don't worry about the engine, you have a good match.
Hope this helps, Bill |
RE: han 9 edge
If you use the recommended elevator throw for low rate it will not be snapping on you as some people have reported. I have had mine sooooooooooo Slowwwwwwwww, it has been scary, but never had a problem.
Some things to look for: Check to see if the wingtips will match in incidence before gluing them together. It's better to have a mismatched center joint than having a difference in wing incidence. A friend just went through this with his. Also make sure the wing and stab are zero/zero. Some problems have arrived from not checking before gluing, you may have to make some adjustments. If it's built straight it's a great little plane. |
