MAGIC by Model-Tech (How are they?)

I just wondered if anyone has one of these and what you think about it. I have a OS .46 lying around and thought it might work nice on this arf.

AWSOME,

I am getting to the point where I can hover my second one. Crash of the first one was spectacular!

Great plane for the money! Got a 46fx on mine!

Great plane for the money, got a 46 fx in mine with about 2oz tail weigt, awesome, hovers are easy, harriers are awesome,I did put flying wires on the tail, just the top made big difference in rigidity.I would recomend doing this to your also.,be ready for it,it can be handful, but lts of fun.

46fx with a Mac's pipe on mine. Do a search for Magic and you will find everything you wanted to know.

I love mine.

Magic

I choose to keep it light and a definitely not sorry. I use a OS .45 LA, a 250 ma battery and used a smaller fuel tank then provided. The .46 LA is more then enough power. The plane will easily hover.

I have a .46 LA (not in a Magic) and the throttle response it terrible. The air bleed screw doesn't seem to make a difference at all.

I flew my magic for the first time on Sunday. I love it. Unlimited vertical with a OS 46 LA and 12.25 x 3.75 prop. Hovers very easy and lands way slower than an airplane should be allowed to fly. This plane is too much fun.

Thanks All for your input. I'm going this weekend to get one. Think I'll put the guide wires on the tail, And the OS .46 up front.

Magically Delicious

Absolutely the most fun to fly of my dozen planes. Mine has a Magnum 61 4 stroke (weighs about the same as 46FX with muffler). So, with a 13x6 APC, hovering is super easy. Throttle response is very good which helps make things much more fun. I am not a talented flier, but I manage to do things with it that I don't even know what they are called. It is simultaneously wild and incredibly forgiving. Yes, you can fly backwards in a headwind, no problem.

I've done my first 2 harrier landings with this plane. I have ordered a spare through my LHS, just in case I lose a battle with gravity........simply can't imagine not having one of these.

Oh, and I flew it all winter on pink neon Dubro ski's!!

Best $100 plane there is. There are 3 in my club. I built 2 of them. Mine flies on a 20 year old OS .40 FSR that I rebuilt for it. It will go vertical without a problem. I also moved my batter pack behind the wing by cutting a hatch in the bottom of the fuse and building a little box back there for it. Improves the characteristics of the plane 100% (compared to the other two I have seen) without adding extra weight.
