kyosho gee bee arf

just got it yesterday. WOW what a great arf. first class quality. i have one question for anyone who has put this thing together. on page six in the manual, it states to "remove wheel pants guide before flying". what exactly does this refer to. what is the "wheel pants guide". anyone looking for a gee bee ought to look at this one.

I think the wheel pants guide is the landing gear rear fairing. You might want to check out this link: [link]http://www.kyosho.com/reviews/kyoa1058-man.html[/link]

The author speaks about the rear fairing.

I leave all the fairing in place for flight with zero problems. I wonder if this is a translation problem. There are several other places in the manual were the english is not clear.

I got mine 2 years ago when they first came out. I have still yet to put it together but I may get around to it this spring. I agree, it's a beauty even in the box. Top notch quality all the way.

good luck with yours,

Jeff

That should be a good combo. I run a Saito .72 in mine. Ashphalt or other hard surface is the only place to fly these things. There is a weak point on these it's the landing gear wire. It's to soft and flexible. To fast of a landing and it will flex enough for the pants to dig in.

It's either underpowered or not much prop sticking out past the cowl.

Iv'e read that the landing gear block ,come loose ,you can beef them up by by going threw the top of the wing, the fuse will cover the spot you expose....I had a OS70FS in mine ,it flew ok ,Mine bit the dust, on landing I had a tip stall that I didn't have have the speed or time to recover[:o]...I would balance it VERY carefully....Good Luck ....JW

The blocks arn't the problem on mine. The wire is just to flexable.
