There are quite a few good trainers for an OS 40 LA. However, at the top of my list is the SIG Kadet LT-40... Put on an APC 10X4 prop on you 40LA and you've got yourself a nice flying trainer.

Ok this is a cheapo ... just saw it fly a few hours ago in a slightly strong breeze with a .40 LA, its the Phoenix Classis ... Vietnamese made and trust me it flies really nice. The planes did not really need any weight to balance it. A friend of mine flies it and he says it does inverted flight well on his OS .32H, it can also do a decent 4 point loop, just decent ... the plane feels heavy but flies really nice. It tracks well for landing and is not 'floaty' that is will do the bunny hop on landings.

I got the low wing SCANNER and I am enjoying every minute of it, mind you I am a newbie. The plane is very neutral in the sense that when you input it just does it for you. You will 'wrestle' less with the plane. Of course you Thunder Tiger trainer is always a good buy.
