1 Attachment(s)
Hello, My father bought a Hurricane ARC kit from model tech about 8 years ago
And is just now getting to it, Has anybody owned or flown one of these ?
Id just like a little heads up on what to expect , Its mid wing, 40-50 size
and apparently has fallen off the face of the planet ! Any info , experience ,
or building tips are greatly appreciated ![sm=confused.gif]

Had one, it lands fast. Construction is good, hardwear blows. Flys and tracts straight, carves well, not much else.
For me had I to do it over again, I would increase the aileron X 2, rudder X 5 and double the elevator with counterbalances.
It has a pretty thin wing, so it will always land hot.
Builds heavy, 6 lbs min.
I would put nothing less that a BB46 for sport flying, OS 50 or Irvine 53 for better preformance.
Did I mention that it lands hot?

[img][/img]I've had two hurricanes and both were excellent planes. Wish I could find another. The landing on both were not bad at all, in fact I thought they were floaters. Anyway, the hurricane flys like it's on rails, very impressive. The first had a ST 40 and fly well but needed a little more to fly with authority. In the second one I mounted a ST 46 and, it hadled the hurricane very well. Happy flying.
