What engine do you guys suggest for my venus .40? I want to go as fast as possible. O.S 50, YS .63 fz, YS .45? Let me know what you guys think.

RE: Which engine (venus .40)
I have a SuperTigre Bluehead 60 on mine and it needs it. Definitely do not
use a 40, you won't be happy. If you have the YS .63 that is what I would use. tommy s |
RE: Which engine (venus .40)
Saito 72 is another excelent choice.

RE: Which engine (venus .40)
I have a T.T PRO .46 on mine and it's a great engine for that plane:D

RE: Which engine (venus .40)
Irvine 53 would be my choice and Dennis had it rite witht the 46 Pro. The TT 46 Pro works well on just about anything.
With what you have I'd go the YS 63. |
RE: Which engine (venus .40)
I have a .50sx and I couldn't ask for more engine. Remember if you use standard servos and a mini servo on the throttle and put the battery just right so you need no weight this plane will weigh less than 5 pounds.

RE: Which engine (venus .40)
Thanks for all the replys guys. I don't have an engine for it yet. I don't want to have to add weight on the tail. Do you think I can manage this with the YS 63?

RE: Which engine (venus .40)
Just find out the weight of the engines you have and go from there. Nose heavy ain't gonna hurt you unless it's extreme.Better than the other way around for sure.
Compare the weights of your engines and look at the weight of the 46 Pro.I'd think it would be liter but heck, you already have engines.Go with it.. Let us know how you come out and what you choose. Later Walt |
RE: Which engine (venus .40)
A friend has his Venus with the YS 63 and did not add any to get it in the CG, Flies great with it too and verticle is unbelievable with this setup.
