GP CHRISTEN EAGLE OVERHEATING???
 

Flew mine Sunday.. Awesome is all I can say. No trim needed and no weight had to be added to balance it and it came in at 17 lbs..One thing I was needing to know is it ran for a wile fine then got to were it would just die as if it was getting hot or starving for fuel..Pulled cowl checked carb setting and run great without the cowl and may I say one more time it flew as if it was on rails and landed like a trainer..The engine is a Q52 and the head is wright in front of the vents but is it a nuff.. A couple of possibilities, do you have a velocity stack? if not then the air flow over the carb with the cowl on may be too turbulent, the other thing is you may need to make a baffle to direct the in coming air though the fins and not around them, it will keep your engine in check as far as temp goes. The "how to " is on rcs web site. My G-45 in my pitts rus at 189 degrees with the cowl on and I put a velocity stack on that protrudes to the outside of the cowl.
