World Models Spitfire vs VQ P-40

I want a decent warbird ARF, and have narrowed it down to these two:

http://www.theworldmodels.com/para/p...?airplaneid=35

I like the size of these models, and they'll take my OS 90 Surpass just fine. Anyone built/flown either aircraft?

Thanks!

Well I own several WM Planes and all are excellent. I doubt you find many who will complain.

I spoke to soon. Forgive my bluntness but $300 for a .40 size Arf? Thats as ridiculous as Kyoshos Pricing. WMs planes are excellent and a lot less.

Neither model is .40 size. They are both .60 sized.

Both planes are lookers... but the warhawk is menacing while the spitfire is more stately.

I have heard good things regarding both kitmakers but I have personal experience with WM and I have been extremely satisfied with them. All their kits go together like lego.

The other thing is the rotating retracts of the warhawk. I have mechanical ones for the Corsair and I can't say they are trouble free. Be prepared to invest time in those.

I have had both of these planes and I would not touch another VQ plane. Go with the World Models and you will be very satisfied.

I pit together the TF Corsair Arf for a buddy which had roatating retracts. They worked but not the smoothest of systems

You know I have one of those Modeltech P-47s with a 1.08 , retracts and a 70ish inch wing Nice plane for around$240

That ModelTech P-47 sure does look nice. However, I want my next model to use all 6 channels (I want flaps). Thanks though....
