H9 Xtra Easy 2 trainer and the Evolution engine.

Just finished putting together my new H9 Xtra Easy trainer RTF (after I have changed a lot of things) and I have reservations about the 3 blade prop (9X6) on the supplied Evolution (.455 c.i.) engine. After seeing a few fly, the lack of thrust is something I don't like.
Have read some articles about the same subject and a lot of prople have replaced the 3 blade prop with a 11X7, 2 blade prop.
My question is - for those who did it - if you replaced the 3 blade prop with something different, what size did you use and how is the performance after the change?
I know, the plane is a trainer but at the moment is a kite....

I put a Master Airscrew 11/5 on the one I have and it flies great. The 3 blade prop is quiet and the plane flies nice and slow with it, but I think the plane flies better with the 11/5. I never got around to trying an 11/7.

I have flown with the 10X6 and the 11X5. I found the 10X6 pulls well and decreased the takeoff roll, but can cause the plane to float longer since it pulls allot of air even at idle. I then tried an 11X5 and now the plane still has a short taken run, but is much easier to slow up for landing with plenty of "bite" to get myself out of trouble if needed.

I'm using an APC 11x7 on the XE2. It simply screams. I can hold full up elevator, firewall the engine, and take off in about 6-10 feet at a 45 degree angle for a long ways.

The good thing about the 3 bladed prop was that it slowed the plane down if you needed it. It's an okay prop for beginners and you have much better ground clearance. The 11" props chew grass a lot.
