Help with Cermark Pitts ARF or ARC

In the 3D, Aerobatic and Pattern forum, some of us are talking about converting a Cermark Pitts ARC to a Christen Eagle. It would be fairly easy to change the gear and flatten the top of the vertical fin and get some Eagle feather graphics, but the hardest part of the conversion (I think) is finding a Eagle cowling that would fit. I have been talking with Steve at Fiberglass Specialties. He has several Christen Eagle cowls that he sells. He needs a tracing of the firewall with thrust line indicated and length to thrust washer on engine to see if any of his cowls would work.
I did not want to buy a Cermark Pitts unless I knew the conversion was possible.

Can anyone out there help with a tracing of the firewall with thrust line indicated?
Do any of you have or know someone who has a Cermark Pitts and would be kind enough to provide us with this?

Thanks, Jim

The firewall is 6 inches from the wall to the thrust washer per the manual.

I can measure the position of the trust line I just need to know what measurement you are looking for exactly. From the top of the fuse to the line or from the side to the center line?

Let me know and I'll pull my cowl and measure for you.

Or are you specifcally looking for an outline of the the entire firewall area with thrust lines included. If so I can do it over the weekend as I cut the stock mount off in order to soft mount my engine. That I can fax out on Monday.

Ron,
What we need is an outline of the the entire firewall area with thrust lines included, in other words he needs the outline of the front of the fuse where the cowl will fit over it to see if his cowls will fit. I guess he needs the thrust lines to tell if the front opening on his cowl (where crankshaft goes through) is in the right place.
The fact that you cut the stock mount off will make it a little easier to do.
Thank you for offering to do this for us. I'll have to send you pics if it all works out.
By the way, what engine are you using on your Pitts?

Thanks, Jim

Call Cermark and buy a new cowl than send it to him.
The cowl is under $20.00 and would be alot more exact
as far as measurments would'nt it.
