Looking real good Gerald!
I'm thinking real hard about the WH 35% Extra since I have a spare DA100 just sitting.
Let us know how it goes as she get's dialled in.

Boys 2-day was nice and all my stuff was acting up. I took the WH Extra out for its second flight since fixing the throttle to idle low. About 8 minutes into the flight the motor went dead stick (a gasser) not good I came in very hot and the grass really helped me out to slow down on a down wind leg, no damage. I think I have the knife mixing complete. On rudder to elev I have a -3 on every point except center, on rudder to ailerons I have left rudder -9 and right rudder + 9. I am going to move my receiver battery back some as I'm carry some up elevator to the human eye. One elevator up high seems to locked right in. Took that bird home after the deadstick and picked up the Ultimate.

logged 3 flights on the WH. This bird is a joy to fly tracks very well the built in factory right thrust in on the money very clean up lines. The fuse is slim if you compare it the the Dave Patrick Extra. The plane does all the IMAC things very well. I did a rolling elevator it seems to be very fast on low/high rates. I don't have any spoilers mixed in the plane has some wing rock in the elevator and harrier. The plane lands so very well and slow. Having a hitec 5735 on the rudder is right on point plenty of rudder power to complete a k-edge loop. I did one up high T-roll over all I am very pleased with this bird after building so many myself and taking all the time to get them dialed in has made me realize how on the money Wild Hare is with this product as less then 5 flights on this bird I am trim/mixes complete. This one is hard to beat comparing it to may models of this size A+ to Wild hare....

Cool review!!! That looks like one killer bird. Man I hear so many good things about that company. Maybe a Wild Hare should be my first gasser. But not till next winter. I'm tired of assembling planes. Time to FLY !!!!!!!!!!!!

Krayzc, excellent job on the plane and the review. Blow by blow with color, what more could you ask for. I for one appreciate your effort and respect your opinion. Your review has just knocked me off that fence I was sitting on and my decision is made. I will persue the WH extra LS. I really like the looks of the LS. Do you think it will differ much from your extra? Thanks again, well done. Joe

cumn thru
Final mixing is Rudder to Elevator Left rudder is -3, and Right Rudder is +1.
Rudder to Ailerons mix is Left Rudder -9, and Right Rudder is 13. This is straight down the run way no pull or tuck or slight pull or tuck its there[8D]

The Lx has a slight advantage in the 3D dept over the Extra Special that I have. I don't know if I would be able to tell the difference Chip H. might:D I went with the Special because I was leaning more toward the IMAC as I was get ready to stop flying the Edge that you see picture by my name 2 the left. This is were all of my hardware came from so I did not have to break in a motor and such.

I think anyone would be very please with any product from WH. Lord knows I have owned many planes/many manf. and this one is one the money Dave Patrick also does a great job but folks get tired of waiting and WH from what I can see delivers not a bunch of hurry up and wait.

Tom is on this site along with downonthedeck doc com answers any ? a flyer runs into. You are going to smile every time you fly your LX and thank yourself every time you see another plane not quite doing all that yours will do. How soon are you looking at getting yours?

Krayzc,
My new Brison 3.2 (1.5 gallons) has quit on me twice in the air. Idle is pretty high too.
What are your needle settings.

Did you remove the idle stop screw ?
Or does this motor doesn't have one ?

Cheers.

RE: Wild Hare Extra arrives

i still have the idle screw in there what idle can you get. i have a bambula 22 x 8 and i think its just braking so hard that i had to bump my idle up. i am running a v-stack on the carb i think my high is around 5/8 and the low is 1 3/4. this motor has plenty of gallons on here something like 40-45. the range is 1.5 to 2.5 on the high and 5/8 to 1 out on the high...

mine was also a little lean on the low end are you burbling in the air? if so you are rich but it sounds like you may be lean on the low end.... the low end effects the high end but not the other way around

Well, youve done such a good job convincing me then, all I have to do is place an order. I'm looking forward to it as it will be my first gasser. I'm leaning towards the DA 50. Guess I better get busy. Thanks, Joe
