Ultimate bipe
 

I would love to purchase the Hangar 9 Ultimate but I think that is way too big for me. Does anyone know of an Ultimate that is smaller and perhaps for a 60 2C or 120 2C. Something that can fit into your family saloon car. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Chip Hyde has one on his web site for a 50cc size engine that's less expensive than the Goldberg bipe..................;)

World Models offers Ultimate biplanes in two sizes, the 1.20 size, and the "Ultimate 30". My Ultimate 30 has a .52 four-stoke, and performs nicely. http://www.airborne-models.com/

It's my Wordmodel's Ultimate120S..
My Ultimate is good flyer with Saito FA-100.
The prop is MA 15-6 and high rpm is about 9300.

I would have to recommend the Dave Patrick Ultimate ARF. Finest built 1.20 class Ultimate available. Top notch.

For your engine choices, the Dave Patrick, BME, Aeroworks and Chip Hyde Double Vision would all be too big. Although the DP would fly with a 120 two stroke, it wouldn't have enough power for 3D type stuff.

The Goldberg is a great flyer You'll love it .Either the kit or ARF flys great. This is my 5th one and still lovin it as a weekend flyer. Ive got a tired old OS 90 in it .Woun't think of not haven one.Mike

My Dave Patrick Ultimate 40 is a terrific flying airplane. I have a Saito 72 on it and it will go veritcal forever, and hover at just under 1/2 throttle. It will also fit in my midsize family sedan's fully assembled. In the trunk that is. It has a 44" wingspan. It's just big enough that the wind doesn't toss it around too much and yet small enough to move around the house and car easily.

You wouldn't want a 60 2c on the DPM Ultimate 40 though. An OS50 2c would be the largest.

If you really want a 60 size look into the Carl Goldberg Ultimate. It was also designed by Dave Patrick is a great flyer.

All you guys have been great ... I think I will go with the CG bipe ... the DPM is great but then it will not be much with a 120 2C. The WM one is most tempting too. Thanks a lot guys!!!

I'd like to hear from anyone who has seen both the Goldberg and the World Models offerings.

I'm on my second Goldberg Ultimate (the ARF, this time) and I'm with rcmiket; this model simply flies too great, and I would like to always have one around. I know this one will eventually

Kind of bored with the Bluehawk scheme, though. If I decide to get another ARF instead of building the CG kit, the World Models looks to be a likely candidate.

So I would like to hear a direct comparison.
