GP Space Walker or SIG Rascal Which one ?
Puzzled ? Which one ? or Both.
I have been debating between the Great Planes Space Walker and the SIG Rascal 40. I’m looking for a easy to fly and somewhat aerobatic airplane. I want to use the plane to transition from SIG LT40 to aerobatics. Reading the current Rascal f 40-forum post, flyers really like the plane. I may end up getting both, each one fits a niche. The Space walker is 1/4 scale and larger. The Rascal is a great Sunday flyer and aerobatic. I am looking for more opinions on the two aircraft. Thanks, Gary |

Boy, that seems like quite a contrast. The Sig Rascal 40 only has a wingspan of 49 in, and the SW is 80". And there is only a US$40 difference.
Haven't flown the Rascal, but I bought a SW a few months back. Love it! I'm coming back after a long hiatus so I wanted to "start fresh" again. The SW will do aerobatics, albeit not as well as some. After I built the SW I thought, this isn't quite the transition plane I needed, so I am building a Sig 4*60 to practice on. Also bought another plane, the World Models Super Stunts 60. It is also an 80" with detachable wing for about US$199. It is a big ugly stick..Nice choice to transistion into..... I know what you're going through. It is a tough decision to know what just the 'right' plane is for your current skill level. I think I'd recommend going to the Sig 4*60 or the WM Super Stunts 60 and leave the Walker until later. Good Luck, my friend. |
