RealFlight???
I got into a pickle the other day with a Cap 232, I was trying to hang it on the prop I guess you would call it.
About a 100 ft in the air,it sort of snapped to the left and went down at a nose down attitude with a spiral motion..a stall spin sort of thing. My question is I don't want this to happen again, will RealFlight G2 duplicate this kind of unusual attitude so I can practice getting out of it? |
RE: RealFlight???
I have duplicated stall conditions with other planes on realflight, even a jet (It was a King Cat? that a user crashed, he had posted the video), so I'm sure it can be duplicated.
But, it sounds like you just need to remember the basics, like drop the nose and build up enough speed to pull out (or have enough engine to power out). 100ft should have been plenty of room to recover. The fact it went down in a spiral sounds like you had some elevator applied (same as the guy with the jet). |
RE: RealFlight???
You can do this in Aerofly Professional.

RE: RealFlight???
Real Flight is NOT like a Real Plane ... no matter what anyone says.

downloads a decent flying bird on some of the g-2 sites ?

RE: RealFlight???
I cannot land a plane properly on G2, the only plane I landed properly was the B29! All others were doing the Bunny Hop no matter what I do ... hehehe

RE: RealFlight???
My son soloed after about a dozen "real" flights without a buddy box and I never took the transmitter from him. While I would like to take credit for being such a fantastic instructor, hour of Realflight simulation is what made this possible. Also, I have been flying RC aircraft for over 25 years. A few years ago, I had not been able to fly much for over a year. When I went back, my skills were so rusty that I planted two birds in one day. I bought Realflight to "get it back" and I fly better and with more confidence than I ever could before. As for landings, I will spend entire Realflight flights doing nothing but touch and goes (with any plane in the simulator). Result? My landing skills have never been better. Realflight is well worth the investment for training and keeping current. It's realism is quite good and anyone can benefit, even an old fart like me.
