Canopy Attachment
I'm currently assembling a JR Explorer and a Kyosho G 202. Both have canopys which are supposed to be screwed onto the fuselage, a method I'm not nuts about.
What do most people do? Follow the instructions or glue the canopy permanently? What would be the best adhesive for the materials? Thanks |
Canopy Attachment
Get a bottle of R/C-56 canopy glue, milky white and dries clear.
I then trim around border with 1/4" silver auto trim tape. The one time I tried the screw trick, the plastic started splitting at two of the holes. Randy |

Thanks for the advice, I'll give that a try.

Canopy Attachment
I read about this technique in MAN. It uses the yellow control rod you get with Sullivan's rod guide and #2 sheet metal screws. Mark and drill holes in the canopy and fuse. Insert the rod into the fuse and afix with CA. Then use the screws to attach the canopy. I go one step further and add a bead of clear silicon around the canopy's edge. This insure's a fuelproof canopy but allows you to remove it if necessary.
