Dazzler Landing Problem

I have a Dazzler ARF and when i try to land it, it "bounces" way up it touchs and jumps up. What is wrong??C.G is fine Does is it need more up ailerons or down??

Jason:

Come in lower and slower. Your at a speed where the wing still
wants to fly unless your coming in too steep and trying to force
the plane onto the ground. DuBro low bounce tires help too. It
won't help that much to deflect the ailerons up.

Dazzler Landing Problem

Agreed, the Dazzler should be able to land at walking (or even crawling) speeds, with very little rollout. You may be landing too fast. While faster wheel landings on this model look cool, but sudden jerks on the elevator will cause the big wing to get some air under it, 3 points work better, this model is very good at spot landings due to it's stall excellent characteristics. I went with 3" DBP foamy lightweight wheels. I think that Tower has 2.5" recommended in their manual, but I'd highly recommend 3" if you're flying off grass (purely for prop clearance purposes).

Dazzler Landing Problem

This is common with wire gear on pavement.

You might want to check these possibilities, not enough elevator (plane not able to slow down), or expo on elevator (suddenly too much elevator at flare).

Dazzler Landing Problem

I agree with the above comments but want to add that the wire landing gear sucks.

I soldered a wire connecting my gear in the middle to take some of the flex out of the wire and it works well.

Also are you mixing in flaperons? Flaring with flaperons and not balloning up takes a LOT of practice as your envelope between flying and stalling gets real small. I just turn of my mixing when I land.
