"CMPro hellcat"
has anyone had any experience with this model, if so what engine did you use and did you also use a different sort of landing gear rather than the stock ones.
thanks. |
RE: "CMPro hellcat"
The Oz RCM did a review on one a few months ago and gave it a reasonable write up. I think they used a .90 4 stroke, can't be sure though.
I have also looked at one and like what I see. Looks tough. It would be a good candidate for pneumatic retracts. Peter Gow at Custom Retracts up in N.S.W. makes good quality ones for this kit for less than Oz $200 a set including tank and all valves. |
RE: "CMPro hellcat"
yes i did read the reveiw, trying to see if i could other words on it.

They are a nice kit. I doubt whether you would be disappointed.

RE: "CMPro hellcat"
I have this HELLCAT. Its a nice warbird, its built good with fabric covering on the wings and tail.
I`m using a OS-.91FX with pitts. and flys it good. I do not have retracts, just fixed gear. It really needs retracts thought, this plane just crys out for retracts. You should spray the whole plane with a flat clear coat before you fly it. The gas and oil after a few flights soak into the paint and fabric covering at the tail area. I clean the plane after every flight, but after a while you cant remove it all. Just mist the plane with Top Flite flat clear and you will be set. The Hellcat handles and tracks good in the air and ground. |
RE: "CMPro hellcat"
Much has been said in the WARBIRDS forum about this plane. RICHARDL has a really nice one here. Do a search on GSP HELLCAT or F6 and you will get all the info you will ever need...
