Tower .75 on either UCD???
I own both models of the UCD. I run a Saito .65 on the .46 size and it flys well. I want a little more power for hovering so I was thinking about using a tower .75 I have laying around on it with a 14X4 prop. If not I also have a .60 size with no motor in it and want to get it in the air too. Will that motor and prop combo hover it at all? Has anyone seen either of these combos flown? Please help...

RE: Tower .75 on either UCD???
No offense - but that engine is a bit of a dog. Not that they are bad engines - great for trainers, cubs, etc that don't require a lot of power. The best engine for the .46 UCD is a Saito 72.. the best for a UCD .60 is a saito 100. The OS engines are pretty good too, but heavier.
I had a .72 on my UCD .40 - total weight was 4.8 pounds... best 3D flyer I have ever owned, much better than the 60-size UCD. Pretty inexpensive too... picked up the .72 used for $120 Don't use a ST or YS on those planes - they really don't like inverted mounting and/or vertical hovering too much without pumps which makes them very expensive... To answer your question, yes. The tower should have enough power to pull the UCD 60 around with authority. Maybe overkill for the 40 size, but to each his own. Have fun no matter what you do.
