Robo struts for Ryan STA ARF
I'm not sure whether I should install Robo struts on my GP Ryan STA. Do they eliminate bouncing on landings and were they difficult to install.
I'd appreciate feedback from those who use them Thanks Jeff |
RE: Robo struts for Ryan STA ARF
Just put a set on a PT-19. They dress a model up nicely. I had to get some help since I don`t have all the tools necessary, primarily drills to drill holes in the struts Then you have to tap out the holes to fit set screws to attach the struts to what`s left of the original wire landing gear on the plane. If you do install them, make sure those set screws are good and tight. The struts do absorb shock and help with landings, in my opinion, although you may find that you`ll have to adjust the spring tension in the strut ( not hard to do ). Hope this helps.

RE: Robo struts for Ryan STA ARF
Robostruts are Strong and Mount well Just need to seperate them and slip parts through the pants of the Ryan then tihgten halves together and attach to wing then ensure toe in is correct...It is a graceful plane and is so smooth in the air...Ground handling off grass is way too Easy....Love it....

RE: Robo struts for Ryan STA ARF
Nemesis,
I've never used or seen Robo struts so I have no clue how to install them. What do you mean when you say I should't use the wire landing gear? Are the Robostruts used instead of the gear? Thanks Jeff |
