what is this?
1 Attachment(s)
This plane was hanging up in a hobby shop until I bought it a few weeks ago. I needed a .25 engine and the man told me he'd sell the plane with a never cranked Magnum .25 for $50. The plane is balsa with foam core wings and covered with thin plastic sheeting. The wingspan is 43".It is RTF as soon as I install the radio gear. Everything else including the tank is already installed. Does anyone know what this plane is called or who manufactured it? Just wondering

RE: what is this?
this is an EZ model plane, 25/30 sized. 'The covering' is actually thin foam with printed paper covered with Mylar. It should be a nice plane to fly, they all are from EZ (manufactured by OK Models, Japan). I believe that this plane is no longer in production, will get you the name later on. This might be what they labelled as a low wing sports trainer. My LHS has one NIB. :)

RE: what is this?
I think it was called a Talon. (After the T-38 of the same name.)
Will be a good flyer, but not repairable. Jim |
RE: what is this?
Very unrepairable ... I got a 15+ yr old EZ Laser 200 (40), flies like a dream. :)

RE: what is this?
I've got a EZ models .60 size Bud Lite laser (circa late 80's) and it was a great flyer and really cool looking... i've since gutted it and now it just hangs in my workshop, as the plastic has gone brittle, and one little mistake and it's scared forever. So now it's just a static model.

RE: what is this?
Thanks for the info. I was just curious about the planes origins. Someone at our club also agrees about being unrepairable. I am basicly a SPAD flier and this will be the first non-spad I own. I just need to learn to be extra careful not to land it like one.
