CA or Epoxy
 

I need to add a couple of ounces to my Avistar to balance it should I use CA or Epoxy to glue the weights?

epoxy and use a pin vice or drill todrill partially though the lead in a few spots to give the epoxy a good place to grip. Don't want those babies coming off in flight.

Yeah, I would use both epoxy and a screw or two. Like Brylee said, you don't want them coming off in the air!

If you dont like the look of screws(I dont), I use the red plug in new epoxy bottles to form a a base anywhere on the plane. then I drill a small hole in the epoxy and add soldter until appropriate weight is reached. then I use epoxy to seal the soldter in.

It depends where your weights will be. For me if its the tail I will use wheel balancing weights and then drill a hole through it and screw it to the tail, NO CA NO EPOXY only locktite, this allows me to make adjustments. If forthe firewall I will just use good mounting tape, usually its for temp measure, when I am certain then I use the same screw method. with CA and EPOXY you have kinda made it permanent. :)

WRX- after all that, do you ever get to actually fly the plane?:D

I have done glue alone, screws alone and both. depending upon how much I have had to add, I have done one or the other or a combo..
