PC-9 Seaggul elevator hole missing, please help
Hello all,
I'm building my PC-9 from Seagull but I have a little problem and I'm a little bit beginner to build plane. The hole for the rudder was ok after removing covering, you can see the picture: http://membres.lycos.fr/latoile2/PC9-1.JPG But the hole for the elevator is missing, I checked careffuly, but there is no hole under the covering : http://membres.lycos.fr/latoile2/PC9-2.JPG Someone who own this model can give me the distance X, Y and Z please http://membres.lycos.fr/latoile2/PC9-3.JPG I can try to drill without these information, but that would be better for me if you can help me. Thanks a lot in advance for your help Regards Pascal |
RE: PC-9 Seaggul elevator hole missing, please help
Hi Pascal
Re your Seagull PC-9 missing elevator rod exit cutout. The instruction manual depicting dual elevator threaded rods, horns and clevis' setup is wrong. The Seagull PC-9 now only comes supplied with a single 2mm threaded rod for the elevator. This exits on the same side as the rudder rod. ie: under the RHS horizontal stabiliser. If you look again, you will find a slit for the elevator rod already pre-cut beneath the covering. It is identical in length and depth and located precisely 28mm centre to centre above the slit for your rudder. Where in Switzerland do you fly? |
