does anyone know a good hooker
I recently picked up allt of good stuff from a friend who is getting out of the hobby One of the things I received is a hooker plane with a Saito YS 91. I don't know anything about the plane. I was wondering about the flight characteristics and any othe first hand knowledge.... Oh and sorry about the subject line, in-ase anyones wife see's it.

RE: does anyone know a good hooker
I had one 22 years ago- flies great. It's a RCM magazine plan - you may can look at the article there.

Not locally, but I could help you find some really nice ones (allegedly) in Beijing :-)

RE: does anyone know a good hooker
That model has been a favorite in our club for many many years. There's always at least one or two out every flying day. At our last fly in we had 8 of them out.
It's pretty much a Stick with swept wings and, if built properly, a flying tail. They have very good slow flight characteristics and can be very aerobatic if setup right. I had just gotten my first one about 6 monthes ago but it met an early demise. [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2090044/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm[/link] |
RE: does anyone know a good hooker
Isn't that a design from the late, great Chuck Cunningham?

RE: does anyone know a good hooker
Thanks for all the replies. I have since found out that Chuck Cunningham actually built this plane. I live in Oklahoma and evidently it is a local design. I'm told this is a real forgiving aircraft and is quite acrobatic. I can't wait to get it up in the air. If anyone has more information I would appriciate it.
