Kyosho Gee Bee engine recommedations

Iwas wondering what kind or engine I should put in my newly aquired Gee Bee by Kyosho. I'm thinking about a Magnum XL 80 FRS four stroke, but I'm not sure it will fit inside the cowl. I was also thinking about a Saito 100, but the extra money is a consideration to be made. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion is an O.S. .61 FX Two stroke.

Great engine, and perfect for this plane.

An OS 70 4-stroke should be here for mine on Tuesday :D

Jeff (keep your eyes peeled to my website for GeeBee construction pics/article like ones there for my PT-17 and Ryan ST-M)

Like Daven says, a .60 two stroke or 70 - 72 four stroke would be a nice balance. Anything bigger would be a weighty overkill.

OS's .91 FX (Like so many other companie's larger-than-sixty's) fits the same mount pattern. It's also real close weight wise.

Of course power wise it's overkill. A bit like swatting one al-queda with a battleship....
