rearwin speedster which engine

im wondering which engine to put on a rearwin. it calls for a 1.8 - 2.4 glow or gas. my question is should i go with 2 stroke 4 stroke or gas im looking for reliability and ease of tunning/starting

I'd go with a Brison 2.4, or even a 3.2. Those engines are pretty light and have good power. I've been thinking of this airplane for my G45. Its supposed to be pretty aerobatic.

I second the Brison 2.4. Easy to operate, very reliable, at least as much power as the G45, and a good price.

I have a ZDZ 40 in mine and have nothing but good things to say about it.

I have one with a Moki 2.10. It allowed me to leave the cowl intact except for needle valve and cooling cut outs. If I was to go gas I'd use a ZDZ 40 or 50. Flies great with the Moki and a 24oz tank

Based on the cost of replacement parts alone...yes. The Brison 2.4 is also lighter. Other than that I can't really say because I have no experience with Fuji engines.

Check out the new, December model airplane news magazine. Page 145 has an ad from Kangke. The plane is $447 alone, or they are offering a combo with the Revolution 3.2 engine for $898. Normally, thats a $550 engine alone. Total savings is over $100 on that combo.
If you call Kangke directly, they will probably offer you a combo using a Brison engine at a price reduction too, since they sell Brison engines as well. I have purchased two ARF's directly from Kangke myself. Unlike alot of other ARF manufacturers, Kankge is often willing to give you a great price directly from them.
Another place to check is chiefaircraft. They have Kangke ARF's at discounted prices and they would be willing to put you together a combo with all sorts of different engines (ZDZ40, Brison 2.4, Moki 2.10, Saito 180, etc, etc.

RC Showcase, the company who sells ZDZ, also sells Kangke airplanes with package deals.
