A question
 

A question for experienced people.
I am new to this hobby, I have practiced a lot on reflex now I can control all those planes.

my question is what my chance is with my new trainer if I fly it with out any Instructor.

That's a tough question to answer not knowing you or your true flying skills but I would say not to do it. It's not worth wrecking your trainer or worse getting someone hurt. Also I've seen people that were really good on a simulator and still needed to learn their flying skills on the real thing. Get an instructor to set you up on the buddy box and let you fly around and if you are really good at it he may just have take a flight test. IMO - the sims are good for practice but don't train most people to jump right into the real flying. :D

not a betting man, but I wouldn't give you more then 20% odds of the plane flying again that day. what other experiences do you have? if you have no glow modeling experience then you probably won't get the engine started (that accounts for about half of that 20% survival rate!). (hmm, we just made an assumption, what plane are you flying?) assuming a typical .40 glow above...

now if you are flying an electric trainer like a aerobird challenger or something similar, go out and give it a toss, it is great fun!

Well, I would say the chances of you flying that plane and bringing it home in a garbage bag are about 100%.

I'd say there's a 95% chance that something will be broken enough that it won't fly again that day.

80% that it won't fly that week

65% that it won't fly that month

and 50% that it won't be rebuildable

But keep in mind, with a 50/50 chance of it not surviving, if you're on the bad side of that 50%, you have had a 100% crash :(
