Giant Scale Lark

Hello All,
Buddie of mine is building one of these planes. I haven't seen it yet but I'm thinking a .61 might be the ticket. However the kit only calls for a .45 Does anyone have this plane and can you tell me what motor you used?
Thanks
Rick

If it's the one in the photo shown here, most guys opt for a 70 size 4 stroke with an APC 13 x 6.
F3A capable... for sure.

Yes,
I think that's it, but there are two sizes. The lark is the .46 sized one. I'm gonna have to take a look at the kit this W/E.

Me thinks there are three sizes.... Magpie, Lark and Swallow.
I've seen the Lark and Swallow fly. Definately F3A material.

I have a Lark which flies superb.
I power it with an SC 91 four stroke and it goes verticle, and performs more manouvers than I can do with it.

so i take it that the os 52 surpass wouldn't quite cut it... what is a good 2 stroker for this plane that will give f3a performance?

planning on using an os61fx, any ideas what this might weigh? I just want to come in under 6lbs.
