2 stroke/4 stroke for Twist
 

Just purchased my Twist and considering these two engines. Which would be best? A 26.75 oz TT.61 2 stroke or a 21.4 oz Magnum .70RFS. I plan on using a 4.8v 1100mah Nicad rx pack?

:)I'm a 4 stroke convert, both in my motorcycles and airplanes. I had a Saito 82 in mine which is a great engine. I don't dislike 2 stroke, I've had a few of them as well, I just like the way the 4 stroke flys, better.

cruz I've had a Magnum 52 XLS and a saito 72 on mine... the saito is still on the nose;) both have more than enough power but I like the 4 stroke over the 2. the magnum 70FS is under 22oz and it's on sale right now, unless I wanted outright speed(BAD with the twist)I'd go with 70/91FS over a .61 2 stroke any day. I like 6v on my 3D type planes but that 4.8 1100mah will work fine.

Oh yeah, I'm a 4 stroke fan myself, in fact, all I own are 4 strokes (5) of them so far. Anyhow, when I bought my Twist I also ordered a TT.61 to match it up with, but, I'm not considering the Mag .70RFS simply for weights and balance purposes. What I want for the end result is to not add any weight up front as I understand the Twist comes out tail heavy. I would rather have engine weight rather than lead weight. I guess I could probably return the 61 (2) stroke and buy the 70 (4) stroke.

I had an OS.52 four-stroke on my Twist.....great torque on a small four-stroke, but not much for real 3-D ( but then again, neither is the plane ). I really like this combo for just messing around.........
