Sig Cap 231 ex
I recently purchased a Sig Cap 231 ex from a local club member. The plane is complete except for motor and radio installation. Unfortunately it did not come with a construction manual and so I have no idea what the balance point is or what the recommended throws are. If there is anyone who has this airplane and can share that info, I would appreciate it.

You might try the SIG web site if nobody comes up with anything for ya.

I got my Sig Cap 231 assembled and well used by another area flyer as well. I just did a search at the Tower Hobbies site to find.
[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRT07&P=7]Click here to get to the Tower Hobbies page on the Sig Cap [/link] . You might also want to type "Sig Cap 231 control throws" into the little window where it says SEARCH TERM and click the SEARCH button that's located on the bottom right of this forum page. |

Have had mine for 4 years now. Great plane as long as you
keep it light. I have an OS 1.60 in mine. Info you requested is: - CG - starting point is 4" back from leading edge of wing at the fuse then move it back from there as you desire - aileron throw - low 3/4" up and down; high 7/8" up and down - elevator throw - low 1 3/8" up and down; high 1 3/4" up and down measured at inboard trailing edge - rudder throw - 3" rt and left measured at widest point Good Luck Bruce |
