What engine for a magic?

The only engine I have is a dud of a os 40LA.. will this be enough power to go vert? or should I just buy another thunder tiger 46pro

The LA40 will fly the Magic well, but it won't send it vertical, The TT 46Pro would be a good investment for this plane.

I am using an OS .46AX with a 12.25X3.75 APC prop. Excellent combo.

This will sound weird but a 40FX with a mousse can is brilliant, its about keeping the wing loading totally light, with that combo you can pull out of a prop hang. The 40 FX is 3-4 oz lighter than the 46AX or TT46. I have seen this combination fly and its amazing.

RE: What engine for a magic?

I am flying my magic with OS 46FX; 12.25x3.75 , reality is, " more than enough engine" with the handicap of having to add lead in the back. this plane the lighter the better ( have You heard that before??).
for few weeks I have been thinking about placing an OS 32 2-s,maybe there is someone out there with this combo and can give us both a tip or two!
