TT Pro 120

Hey Guys, I got a TT Pro 120 sitting around collecting dust I want to ask you what would be the cheapest, best-flying ARF (general sport flying and pattern) to put it on. I prefer Edge, Caps, and 300s, but if anyone has any other ideas, I'm open. Thanks.

teep - I got the TT120 and I just ran in the engine. Its a powerful engine. I got it for my Pacific Aeromodels Laer 72". I would say go for that plane, its not very expensive and will really give you some kick ass power. Any decent 72" plane will be great for the TT120.

Funtana 90 for $209.

Heck, the stock muffler will rotate 90 deg to act as a Pitts, and looks like will fit in the generous cowl of the Funtana 90.

TT 120's weight will balance the Funtana 90 perfect. Use APC 17x6 prop to get 16 lb of thrust. Plane will come out a little over 9 lb. Normal 120 size ARF's will weight over 11 lb, which will not perform EXTREME-ly well w/ 16 lb of thrust.

Another good choice is Extreme Flight Yak. But it's not in the same price range.

I'm flying the TT120RP (rear exhaust w/ pump) on a Excelleron 90 from Hobby People. It is truly unlimited power for this plane. It has a 66" WS and weighs about 8# rtf. You can check the Excelleron 90 thread in the pattern forum for alot more info on the plane. I got mine for $200 on sale.

Try a Seagull Laser 200 for the TT 120. It will pull the plane around with authority! And it IS a good flying bird.

If you want an awesome plane, Wild Hare RC is coming out with a 1.20 size Edge 540T. $299 isn't a bad price either.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I like Bens ideal, I love to have an Edge 540t ,but can't find one that would be a good combo with the TT PRO 120, 2 cycle. The funtana to me needs a 4 cycle. THanks again.

I have the Magnum 120 2 cycle on the Funtana 90 and it is perfect.
You can't go wrong.

I heard bad thing about this 72" Edge, something with structure. It sure fits the budget though.

There are some good ones, like Yellow Aircraft, Hangar 9.

RE: TT Pro 120

Dunno about Yellow but the H9 Edge is a little heavy. Not that great a plane if you were to compare with a 60 sized one from Pacific Aeromodels. Not a good comparison but then its true. Saw one fly and I was not all that keen with it.

RE: TT Pro 120

I think most 1/4 size planes other than maybe a profile would be to heavy for your 120.These size planes realy need a 160 or bigger.

Stick with a 90 size for that motor and you will be very happy with it.
