According to the manual the CG is 3 1/2 inches back from the leading edge measured next to the fuse. The low rates are

Ailerons 5/8" up 1/2' down
Elevator 3/4" up and down
Rudder 2 1/2" left and right.

Balance right-side-up or up-side-down??

Thanks!!

Anyone have any comments on the sensitivity of the low rates? Any recommendations?

I had to tune down my low rate a bit because it would roll pretty fast. I have a OS 91fx in mine and it fly's fast enough at 1/2 trottle. I also did the same with my elevator so it would snap easy at full elevator.
I ballanced mine up side down at 31/2 from the leading edge of the wing.

I set mine up the same way-- I use an OS 61 and it goes plenty fast for me. It is a GREAT plan for the money, and flies on rails. Just be careful not to use too much elevator too quickly or it will snap so fast you cant see it. Best inverted flyer I have ever had-:D no down and goes forever hands off.

When you guys balanced your Edge 540's did you add on the weight or extend the engine mount farther from the fire wall?
I had a guy tell me the other night to add a block of wood between the fire wall and the engine mount, so the plane balances out correctly at 3.5.
Mine fly's fine with the nose weight and ballanced at 3.5
