Ultrastick test flight
:DJust came in from the first flight of my Ultrastick 40 ARF. 1 click of elevator trim was all it took for straight and level flight. Built it without quad flaps and powered with a Tower .46. Right now it is on skis and flies great with them. What would be a good prop for this set-up? Not sure which one I have on now, just looking for other options

RE: Ultrastick test flight
11X5 has kept my OS .46FX real happy..happy...and your .46 should be real close to the OS.
Nice vertical..yet some nice speed as well..... IMHO..the best prop for that engine! |

I'd have to say that my Ultra Stick 40 is my favorite plane. It has a Saito 56, Dubro 10oz tank and Great planes plastic mount.

RE: Ultrastick test flight
:)W8ye, Does you Ultra Stick have the counter balanced rudder like the red one does? My Ultra Stick 40 was the yellow one like yours and it didn't have it. But I had heard that the later versions (after the red one came out) had the rudder. But I haven't been able to confirm this. Yea, they are pretty cool airplanes. I fly my US60 quite a bit and always when I haven't flown for a while and first time in the spring. It's just so easy to fly and very sporty when I want to be.
Thanks, Barry |
