beginner ARF
 

Hi. i own the aerobird challenger. for my next plane, i was thinking of moving from the RTF, To ARF. heres the radio(comes with servoes, and rieviver.) Quattro UL FM W/R610ul & 2-s41 jrp4487(?) 4 channel.http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByC...odID=JRP4487**
if i get this radio, should my first plane be a fomie, or regular trainer.
also, what else do i neeed.

First of all, do not buy a four chanel radio. The minimum you should consider would be 6. After your trainer gets to be boring, you will want the capability of a more flexible radio that offers mixing, exponential etc. The difference in price is minimal. For a plane,consider the Sig Cadet-- probably the most forgiving of all the various trainers, and can be flown very slow with the right engine. Also, dont go cheap on the engine with a bushing engine instead of ball bearings. A good ball bearing engine should last you for years if you take care of it.

Good choice in radios.....I have one of those and it does just fine. What plane are you considering?
