Can't decide, any input?

I'm having a hard time deciding on which ARF would be the best for my second plane. I'm in the middle of building a 4*40 kit but would like to get an ARF for "practice" on first low wing flying. These are the possible picks so far..
Graupner Super Air
Ace Cloud Dancer 40
Hangar 9 Advance 40

Anyone have any experience with these? Good/Bad?

Thanks

My vote goes to the Cloud Dancer ( got one )
It's very light, good flying characteristics and it's DISTINCTIVE from other planes....
Only thing I don't like about it is the plastic cowling.
Mine has an Irvine .53 on it and it's overpowered. A strong 46 is enouhg for this plane.
As I mentioned before is VERY light

patrick

Thanks for the suggestions so far! I've heard alot of good things about the Sig SE even though it is a bit pricier.
How do you think the Cloud Dancer would do with a .40 since it is so light?
Still waiting to hear if anyone has flown the Graupner Super Air, it's fairly new I think...

The Hangar 9 advance is not a tail dragger. I don't know if it can be configured as one. It is however a great plane. I would definitely go with a taildragger. You should not have any trouble flying the low wing 4*. It is the taildragger steering that may give your problems.

the Hangar 9 Super Stick or Ultra Stick are more suggestions. They are sure fun to fly and will give you another style of plane.

By the way, you will love your 4*40. Beef up the tail wheel!!!

Thanks for the info on the 4*40 tail wheel! I will check on the H9 Sticks!
I just found a review on the Super Air, sounds good but it also tricycle gear.

Stinger

Check the Stinger 60 ARF. I had a Stinger 40 - I don't remember if it was my 2nd powered plane or not(I started with gliders) but it was my first aerobatic (not trainer type) airplane.

The Stingers of all sizes have a reputation for being gentle planes when set up gentle, and real performers when set up aggressively. I remember being apprehensive about my first stinger flight and then thinking "Is that it" when I got it up & trimmed.

Fly it on low rates and forward CG at first, then go high rates and ease the CG back when you are ready for it.
