Grass takeoff
 

Quick Question the Great Planes Super sportster EP. Do you know if you are able to take off and land ona grass service or is a smooth tar runway needed. thanks in advice for tips

As a matter of fact I just saw one of these takeoff from our grass field today with everything that is recommended with the exception of a more powerful battery, (I do not know what is actually recommended but the guy flying it I trust completely) and it had no problem. It was a little slow to gain speed but once he went to full power it literally leap off the ground

Our field is grass, fairly smooth and the grass is about 2 inches high right now. We usually have it at 1 1/2 inches but we have not mowed it yet this year.

if it is a maintained run way w/ short grass i do not see why you
would have any problems, give it a go.
