GP 202 Control throws

I am just trying to set up my GP 202 control throws. Could someone please tell me that the throws recommended are correct for the elevator.

5/16 up

7/16 down

Thanks Guys, Harry

Harry,

I just finished the GP Giles .46 kit. It's 1/2" up and down.

I also have the GP Giles 1/4 scale ARF that I haven't started, but the manual shows what you indicated.

You can also look at the Great Planes site:

Thanks ed,

Sure doesn't look like much but that's what I'll go with.

Again thanks for your time, Harry

It doesn't take much throw for the Giles.
My high rate is the recommended low rates in the manual!

If this is the 1/4 scale Giles, I would recommend that you reduce the throws to 1/4 up and 3/8 down. The elevator is VERY sensitive. A lot will depend on where your CG is. If it is as stated or aft then follow my recommendations. If it is forward, then the book may be close.

Thanks so much Geistware,

Yes it is the 1/4 scale and I will start out with the throws you recommended.
I've been flying r/c for 34 years but still am willing to learn from others experiences.

I appreciate your time tremendously, Harry

I agree with Geistware. Be very careful with that elevator. I had several of these .I finally got one where I could enjoy it(Quadra 35 gas) and I ran out of gas and had a bad landing. That plane can be a little twitchy some times.1/4" or maybe 5/16" on the elevator at most. good luck!
