GP Christian Eagle

I almost have one of these done, and have not seen any post on the plane in a long time. It will have a digital servos, a Brisson 3.2, sullivan skywriter smoke, and the larger TNT landing gear. Has anyone seen any videos of the plane flying, other than the video at great planes? Can anyone give me any flying characteristics?

Buddy of mine has one at our club and flew it for the first time last weekend. He let me try it out and it is pretty easy plane to fly. It don't have any bad habits that I could see. He had it set up on low rates so it was limited on this I could do. But even on low it rolls nicely all the way across the field. I tried a few flat spins and it stopped pretty quick when you let go. I had some that would do a roll or so after I let go but this one did really well. Inverted flight only required a very little bit on down elevator for level flight.

Take offs and landings were pretty effortless and no surprises. Smooth taking off ,very little right rudder needed. Nice smooth landings coming in slow. No snap at the end. I guess it would if we got extremely slow with it and stalled the mess out of it it would. But as for regular landing approaches it did very well. Inverted flight only required a very little bit on down elevator for level flight.

He had his set up with a DA 50 and it pulled it along really good. The prop was not the best but he will change it to something a little bigger next weekend.

Makes me want to get one now.:D

Whodaman,

Do a yahoo search for TNT landing gear. When I found there site, I got their phone number and called them. Great service and fast shipping. I think I paid $40 for the gear. Their site only showed the larger gear for the GP Pitts. Maybe now that they have made a couple of sets for the Eagle, they will list in on their web site.
