I recently purchased with the toughts of using a .46. After reading all this about weight and engine size, I know need to buy a bigger engine! I want to be able to hover. And be able to punch out of the hover verticaly. Anybody use Magnum engines? I heard they are the same as the O.S. engines. Any input on something strong and affordable??

I've used a couple and they were great. I still have em around somewhere. Not retired, just dormant awaiting another project.. I have friends that use them with great results as well.

I flew mine with a 70 magnum; would not hover and no vertical pull out. I put in my 91 magnum and run 3 tanks threw it; much better vertical climb rate . But it did fly well with the 70 with nose weight.

I am just about finished with mine. I picked it up from Hobby People, www.hobbypeople.net for $80.00 on sale. I have a Magnum .91 FS in the nose. Picked up the Mag 91 for $150.00 on sale too.
Should have it in the air next weekend. Looks like I have another fun plane to bang around the skies. Dru. |
