Hinge sealing material

Hello All,
I’m finishing up my Linear Edge ¼ scale and used the Robart hinges despite my success with other methods. I think the gap I got was allot more then 1/32 and allot more than I’d like to see – maybe more then 1/16. It looks like now I’ll have to seal it somehow, but I don’t want to make the surfaces unnecessarily stiff.
Incidentally, with double beveled surfaces I get a TON of throw this way. What do you guys like to use and is there anything better then just using Monocote?

As above just buy a roll of ultracoat transparent and you can use it to seal hinge lines on any plane no matter what the color

Rick,

I've had much success with water soluble latex cualking. Apply it into the gap, wipe off the excess. If clean up is needed, use a wet rag. When the stuff dries it remains flexible and has a neat appearance. Try it you might like it. :D
