Has anybody flown the World Models .40 Ultimate?

I just placed an order for one last night so hopefully I'll get to fly in in a couple weeks! Sure hope to hear good things about this plane but then again, World Models are pretty good INHO.

Its the same as the Ultimate 30 have had two of the 30's one with a 48 MDS twostroke and one with a Magnum 52 fourstroke. They flew great, I did find the twostroke seem to handle better on the ground that the fourstroke, less squirrely. Lost them both the same way got into a spin and did not know how to get out of until the aircraft hit the ground.
Have 40 on order and will have someone teach me how to get out of the spin. I really liked the little biplane fits in the back of my car assembled (Scion XA) and its well made.

This plane should fly very much like the WM Ultimate 30. It has exactly the same weight, airfoil, wing area, span, etc etc . If you look closely it really is nothing more than a beautified Ultimate 30 with a nose job and new style landing gear. I am excited about it too! I love the yellow. I currently have an Ultimate 30 with a Magnum 40 on it swinging an APC 10 x 6. I absolutely love my little bipe. It flies like a dream and will do knife edge flight with very little rudder input. The fact that it can remain together while being transported is a plus too. Get to the field, fuel and FLY! My kind of plane. I will probably buy the new 40 when I see one at LHS. My Magnum gives me almost unlimited verticle when running lean. An OS 46AX or FX would be phenominal! The only downer about my Ultimate 30 is the crazy PINK color on the covering job. What in the world was WM thinking?? people ask me all the time, " Why did you put pink on it!!" Oh well after they see it fly....they don't say anything else about the look.

If it was flat spin that you lost the Ulty in getting out can at times be tricky and require lots of power. I frequently put my DPM Ultimate 40 in inverted flat spins. Usually releasing the sticks, then using a bit of opposite rudder and full power will stop the spin and you'll fly out. I have had 2 close calls though.

1 ended about 12-14" off the deck it just wouldn't come out, when it did it was falling perfectly level inverted and fast. Thank goodness I have a Saito 72 on it. The elevator finally responded and the tial went down and the plane went straight up while my heart was about to explode. To top it off I turned around and my wife was standing there watching me. She bought me the plane and told me I had better crash it. I will someday.
